A heritage to be protected

Every year, a considerable amount of 8 million tons of waste ends up in marine waters, including a considerable 640,000 tons of fishing nets abandoned in the oceans (sources: FAO and UNEP).

These alarming data warn us that,
If we do not take action, by 2050 we could be facing a sea that contains more garbage than fish. It is absolutely necessary to radically revise our approach, living in harmony with nature and thinking carefully about the importance of water as a limited resource for our planet. A new awareness and a change of mentality is essential.

Our commitment

We don't talk about environmental sustainability just because it's trendy. Ours is a serious, transparent and concrete commitment. Men's shorts are made of 100% recycled and certified polyester Global Recycled Standard, recognized as the most important international standard for the sustainable production of garments and textiles. Women's bikinis are produced entirely with thread ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated nylon made from pre- and post-consumer waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, used carpets, industrial plastic and more.

These materials, now at the end of their life cycle, instead of being disposed of in landfills, are recovered and regenerated through a complex physical-chemical process.

The recycling process of ECONYL®

Recovered fishing nets, along with other materials such as fluff and tulle, are transported to the regeneration plant. Here, through a sophisticated and complex recycling process, the above-mentioned materials are transformed into ECONYL®, A new polyamide thread that has the same performance and quality as virgin polyamide, but without the use of non-renewable fossil raw materials. This innovative process is known as ECONYL®Regeneration System!
